A social science degree or an arts (liberal arts) degree - how the hell do I figure out which to go for?

This won't be my first time at uni, did law before but really hated it and dropped out. I've been offered both the above undergrad courses at uni here in Ireland but can't decide which to take? I was thinking Arts but not so sure now (Religions & Global Diversity - I'm atheist, lol - along with Politics and two other "fillers" for year 1) Anyone doing social science, how do you find it? Thanks.
